The analysis of the current situation of the postgraduates' ideological and political education work in the new era was presented from the aspects of the importance, urgency, challenge and the postgraduate' characteristics, etc., in this paper and the author introduces the new thoughts of innovating postgraduates' ideological and political education in colleges and universities and the countermeasures.

Nowadays, many problems, such as emphasizing knowledge transfer and ignoring ability training, simplifying teaching and evaluation, the incomplete system of cultivating innovative personnel and so on exist in the personnel training system of higher education. This paper puts forward the innovative personnel training model so as to improve the quality and level of personnel training in universities. Through the reform of curriculum, integration of teaching and practice, the fusion of information technology and teaching, the change of traditional education methods, the practice achieves a significant improvement in improving the quality of personnel training.

With the rapid development of economic society and the increasing numbers of colleges and universities, the diversity of demands for talents and the diversification of the students' purpose of learning, the classification management and development of higher education have become an important issue in the development of higher education. On the basis of analyzing the background of implementing the classified management of higher education in China, this paper makes a comparison and analysis of the classified management mode of foreign higher education, which is of great reference value for further research and practice of the classification management and practice of colleges and universities in China.

In order to broaden students' horizons and enhance their adaptabilities in the rapid social and technological development, Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology carried out a reform aimed for interdisciplinary top-notch project in College of Material Science and Engineering based on the practical condition. Measures taken include combination of scientific and educational research, establishment of interdisciplinary platform and 1+1 pattern with the aim of stimulating top-notch cultivation. The project will promote synergy development and explore a new approach for synergy innovation of scientific research and education.

In this paper, the problems in the teaching of specialized English for polymer materials majors was briefly analyzed. To solve these problems, reform measures such as improving students' interest, changing the content of courses, improving teaching methods and improving inspection standards were proposed. The aim is to enhance students' enthusiasm and initiative in learning specialized English for polymer materials, as well as improve their English proficiency.

There are many serious problems in the teaching of optional courses，which results in a bad  teaching quality. In this paper several fundamental reasons causing the problems were analyzed and the proposals were made to reform evaluation methods, that is to accomplish teaching and evaluating with the help of Superstar learning platform. The role of the optional courses is played which helps to improve the teaching effectiveness.

The fundamental problem of cultivating new engineering talents is ability training, and computer programming ability is an important ability required by new engineering talents. In view of the difficulty of students' programming ability training in C language teaching, it is necessary to implement C language teaching reform. Three C language scaffolding teaching models are designed and employed in teaching and the teaching effect proved that the scaffolding C language teaching assists the improvement of the students' programming thinking and programming ability.

The management efficiency can’t be improved due to the complexity of information.  In order to solve the problem mentioned above, mind mapping method is used to construct content frame of electronic management manuals. The electronic management manuals for safety engineering laboratory contain four main parts, laboratory manager manual, laboratory teacher manual, student manual and laboratory outsider manual, which includes a total of 14 modules with 59 items. The manuals mainly involve the contents of laboratory safety management, resource management, teaching management, innovation experiment management and so on.  Moreover, it is pointed out that the laboratory electronic management manuals assure the systematization of laboratory management, the orderly completion of experimental teaching and the smooth development of laboratory safety management, which can provide reference for further improving the efficiency of laboratory management.

The virtual experiment platform of signals and systems is designed in graphical programming language LabVIEW due to the characteristics of " Signal and System", such as the complex theoretical concepts, the abstract definition and the varied derivation of the formula and close connection with mathematics. The platform can turn abstract concepts into vivid and intuitive images, and dynamic examples, which can arouse the students' interest and help students understand the basic concepts, the basic theories and the basic applications of signals and systems better. Moreover, it can help to improve the quality of teaching.

The paper finds that the topic and the density of the new words in the reading materials can affect the incidental vocabulary acquisition through the test. The objects of the test are the sophomores of English major in one of the universities of Jilin. The paper expects to rich the theory of second language acquisition by discussing the factors influencing incidental vocabulary acquisition; meanwhile it aims to play a guiding role in the English vocabulary teaching.
