Abstract The integration of ideological and political education in primary, secondary, and higher education has the potential for serving the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era better, enhancing the consistency of ideological and political education at all educational stages, promoting innovation in ideological and political education concepts and methods, and deepening the concept and practice of educational equity. In the future, researchers are supposed to deepen the relevant theoretical research, establish and improve an integrated education work mechanism, conduct a systematic construction of curriculum system, cultivate a high-quality teacher team, enhance innovation in practical teaching and build a scientific and comprehensive educational evaluation system.
