Combining the content and course characteristics of Polymer Physics, the idea of comprehensively integrating ideological and political education into Polymer Physics is put forward in this paper. The effective strategy involved the three aspects: teaching content reform, teaching mode innovation and ideological and political elements mining is put forward. Through the comprehensive integration and penetration of the ideological and political elements, the value guidance and ideological and political education can be achieved, which can help the students establish correct values and outlook on life, cultivate their scientific thinking, dialectical thinking, patriotism feelings, humanistic feelings, and good character. The research will provide reference for the ideological and political teaching reform of science and engineering majors.
