The educational mission of vocational colleges is to cultivate skill-oriented talents, which determines that development of students' skills is the core of the vocational education. This paper defines embedded practical training and analyzes the existing problems of skills training in China's vocational education. It points out that the embedded practical training mode is the way out for vocational colleges to solve the problems of vocational skills training.
