In the classroom teaching activities of Material Analysis Foundation for the latest five grades students majoring in Material Science and Engineering in our university, the traditional classroom teaching mode and the "flipped classroom" teaching mode are used respectively. The results of each course are analyzed and compared, and the teaching effect of the " flipped classroom" teaching mode is tested. The results show that the students who accept the "flipped classroom" teaching mode have a higher degree of knowledge mastery and understanding and practical ability to use different test and analyzing methods than those who received the traditional teaching mode. Therefore, the effect of the " flipped classroom" teaching mode in the classroom is quite remarkable. Based on this, the paper puts forward some suggestions for the application of "flipped classroom" in classroom teaching.
