Abstract The supervision of precursor chemicals is a core challenge in university laboratory safety management. Research advancement and laboratory expansion have rendered their management increasingly complex. Boosting management levels and ensuring safety are pressing issues for universities. Based on university practices, this paper analyzes key problems, difficulties, and risks in managing precursor chemicals. It proposes targeted countermeasures to help achieve standardized, scientific management, providing references for enhancing safety management and advancing digital and smart laboratory development.
