Abstract Based on the reality of the integration of ice and snow resources with multi-ethnic cultures in Northeast China, this study deeply analyzes the intrinsic logic of how ice and snow tourism transforms from regional characteristics into cultural symbols, and explores its role and pathways in forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. By combining theory with practice, it reveals the internal mechanisms through which ice and snow tourism promotes ethnic interactions, cultural exchanges, and social integration, thereby providing sustainable cultural impetus for the development of Northeast China. This achieves the dual objectives of "turning ice and snow into gold and silver" and "fostering unity among all ethnic groups in the Chinese nation."
