Abstract The history of traditional labor education in China is long and profound, with its rich connotations and core value exerting a far-reaching impact on both the spiritual and social levels. On the spiritual level, traditional labor education upholds the value of “diligence as the foundation” and advocates for the philosophy of “labor leads to thought, thought leads to clarity, and clarity leads to action.” This concept has deeply penetrated into the hearts and minds of the Chinese people, shaping their spirit of diligence, thrift, and indomitable will. On the social level, labor education has promoted the refinement of social division of labor, enhanced production efficiency, and laid a solid foundation for China’s prosperity and development. In the new era, we should fully tap into the precious heritage of traditional labor education and combine it with modern education to contribute to the cultivation of socialist builders and successors who are well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor aspects.
