Abstract This paper examines Matsuo Basho's classic haiku to explore his practice of drawing inspiration from explicit artistic elements such as phrases and structures , as well as implicit artistic connotations like imagery and realm in Bai Juyi's works.The aim is to provide new insights for comparative literature research between China and Japan.
