Abstract: With the rapid development of information technology, virtual simulation experimental teaching has become an important component of higher education experimental teaching. This article takes the local university's "Environmental Monitoring Experiment" as an example to explore the construction and practice of a virtual simulation experiment teaching system, improve comprehensive quality, and meet the society's demand for high-quality technical and skilled talents. The in-depth application of virtual simulation technology will effectively improve the quality of practical teaching, cultivate students' innovation ability and engineering literacy. Local universities should take this as an opportunity to accelerate the digital transformation of education, build a new student-centered education ecosystem, and provide support for cultivating high-quality talents that meet the needs of future society.
