Abstract: The engineering training course is an important practical course, which plays an important role in enhancing students' engineering practice ability and cultivating innovative spirit and innovative ability. Based on discipline competition, this paper constructs project-driven teaching model and teaching scheme. By offering multi-level, designed, comprehensive and innovative practical projects, students' comprehensive practical ability and innovative ability are constantly improved, laying the foundation for students to participate in discipline competitions, and achieving the purpose of promoting teaching through competition and combining competition with training.Under this model, students actively engage in various discipline competitions. Over the past three years, student science and technology activities have shown significant results.The number of awards has increased by over 50% annually, and rankings have steadily risen, which has effectively enhanced students' comprehensive practical and innovative capabilities.
