Abstract This paper analyzes the channels and social mentality of foreign countries for the choice of Chinese novel text translation, and analyzes in detail the principles and issues that need attention in English translation of novels from the perspective of literature. By exploring the track of the translator's subjectivity construction, positioning and reflection, this paper explains the important position and role of the translator in the process of English translation of the novel. We should adhere to cultural self-confidence, actively explore a broader way of translating and introducing Chinese novels, and explore new paths for Chinese literature to "go global".
