With the advent of a new era, the rapid development of the Internet, and the normalization of the current era of COVID-19 prevention and control, it has made the online and offline mixed teaching mode an inevitable trend. This paper describes the significance of the online and offline mixed teaching mode of Specialized English Reading, and constructs a combination of online and offline classes. The purpose is to improve students' learning efficiency, make full use of learning time, and make students attend classes as usual in this case. At the same time, it also discusses the challenges encountered in constructing the online and offline mixed teaching mode of Specialized English Reading, and gives some countermeasures and methods.
