The professional certification of engineering education is an important measure to improve the internationalization level of engineering education and the quality of engineering education. In the EST reading of Polymer Materials and Engineering, for example, this paper analyzed the existing problems and shortcomings of the course. According to the existing problems and the graduation requirements of professional certification of engineering education, this paper discussed the teaching contents, teaching objectives, teaching methods and assessment methods with the purpose of improving the teaching quality of the course and the students’ practical application ability.
