Based on computer simulation technology and in combination with professional teaching requirements, a virtual reality environment of the automobile engine performance is constructed. On this platform, with the intelligent guidance function of the system, students can independently finish the learning of the laboratory environment cognition and the composition and working principles of all parts of the engine testing system as well as fulfilling the simulation test process of engine speed and load properties, etc. This simulation experiment teaching system can strengthen students' understanding and application of automobile testing methods and solve the problems such as being difficult to meet the equipment conditions, low teaching efficiency, high safety risks and high testing costs in engine performance experiments under real conditions.
