Abstract General secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Xi Jinping's important discourses on strengthening the teachers' professional ethnics emphasized the significance of the construction, developed Marxist educational theory and pointed out the direction of teachers' efforts in teaching practice. It is clear that the first criterion for evaluating the quality of teachers should be teachers' professional ethnics and teachers should bear in mind three "firmly established", do a good job of "four guides" and achieve "four unities". There are four elements to be a good teacher. In application-oriented universities, it is necessary to strengthen the education in ideals and beliefs, reinforce the mission of educating people, highlight institutional construction and establish a multi-party cooperative supervision system of teachers' morality to give play to the leading role of moral models in the construction of teachers' ethics.
