Abstract The supply side structural reform in universities is the reform of talent supply to implement the scientific "people-oriented" and "student-oriented" development thought, and it is also an educational reform to promote the all-round development of talents and high-quality development. The innovation of ideological and political education in universities in the context of supply-side reform should consider the combination of talents training, education and teaching, cultural construction and team building, by setting a goal of concept, strengthen ideological and cultural education mechanism, innovate the ideological and political theoretical course system and working mechanism, establish and improve the full participation, whole process optimization and full implementation of the comprehensive pattern of ideological and political education.
