Abstract Opposition to Dogmatism is an important work written by Mao Zedong during the New Democratic Revolution period. It aims to criticize doctrinaire thinking within Party and emphasizes the importance of seeking truth from facts and conducting thorough investigations. This paper discusses the value of this work in ideological and political education from three aspects. Integrating the content of Opposition to Dogmatism into ideological and political education can not only effectively enhance the level of such education in higher education institutions but also help young people develop a correct value and a sense of social responsibility, thereby promoting their overall healthy growth.
