Abstract There are many serious problems in the teaching of optional courses，which results in a bad teaching quality. In this paper several fundamental reasons causing the problems were analyzed and the proposals were made to reform evaluation methods, that is to accomplish teaching and evaluating with the help of Superstar learning platform. The role of the optional courses is played which helps to improve the teaching effectiveness.
