Abstract Wei and Jin’s seclusion spirit has deep and far-reaching influence．However， the seclusion in Wei
and Jin dynasties is a choice from self-consciousness，with the color of“seclusion for its quality，for the safety
of its safety”．The scholars in later ages have added their own excavation and explanation to the seclusion of the
scholars in Wei and Jin，and they have been modified to a certain degree．Therefore，to explore the connotation
of seclusion，it is necessary to start from the people’mentality and to find the true meaning of seclusion．
