Abstract This study was conducted among 102 college students to comprehensively analyze the characteristics of their foot strike movement, biological mechanisms, and dynamic manifestations during running. Utilizing high-speed cameras, Insole-2A plantar pressure measurement devices, and other equipment, combined with expertise in biomechanics and anatomy, data on foot strike patterns was gathered through questionnaire surveys. Through analysis using precision instruments and mathematical statistics, relevant characteristics were systematically unveiled. The results indicated that during long-distance running, the proportions of forefoot striking, full-foot striking, and heel striking among college students were 15.6%, 58.4%, and 26%, respectively. Notably, the injury rates among those adopting the first two striking patterns were significantly higher compared to those using the rolling heel strike pattern.
