Abstract Using the methods of investigation and questionnaire survey， this research analyzed the current
situation of the postgraduates’scientific research in Jilin．The conclusion is drawn as follows: excessive teaching
time; short of research time; insufficient communication between students and mentors; inadequate research
capability of postgraduates’and lack of research passion．Based on the above， this paper puts forward three
suggestions to cultivate the postgraduates’scientific research ability: to optimize course system， to improve
mentor team building，and to enhance academic exchange．
