Abstract: In the era of digital economy, equipment manufacturing industry has become an important pillar of a country's national economy. In view of the problems faced by China's equipment manufacturing enterprises in their innovation and development, such as insufficient innovation impetus, limited innovation funds, and lack of innovative talents, this paper uses TOE(Technology-Organization-Environment)
framework from three dimensions, and uses fsQCA (Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis) method to explore the effect of conditional variable linkage matching on the innovation and development of equipment manufacturing enterprises. It is found that high-tech talents are the core factors for equipment manufacturing enterprises to achieve innovation and development, while R&D investment and organizational scale are significant factors, the enterprises should increase R&D investment, capital investment and labor investment at the same time, so that the innovation and development of equipment manufacturing enterprises can be realized.
