A Study on Long Sentence Translation of Petrochemical English Based on MTPE

Abstract: Petrochemical English, as a vital part of English for science and technology ( EST ),features strong industrial professionalism due to its technical terms and specialized expressions.By utilizing Google Translate for the initial translation of the text " Fracturing, Fluids Additives" , the author , based on MTPE , analyses the problems exposed by Machine Translation in the long-sentence translation of petrochemical English and summarizes the methods for translating long-sentence in petrochemical English during the post-editing process.Through specific case studies , the author intends to provide references for the translation and post-editing of long-sentence translation in petrochemical English.
