Abstract In order to effectively prevent confined space accidents in the chemical industry and reduce casualties, based on the statistical data of confined space accidents in the chemical industry, the rules of accident occurrence are clarified. Apply the 24Model system to explore the causal factors of the "4.15" major fire poisoning accident, and deeply explore the internal correlation between the factors, calculate the total input and output degree of each causal factor, and thus clarify the priority of preventive measures. The researchs result indicate that the number of confined space accidents in China's chemical industry showed a stable trend of change, with the majority of accidents classified as major accidents (accounting for 65.6%), and the main types of accidents were poisoning and suffocation (accounting for 59.1%). Among the factors causing the "4.15" major fire poisoning accident, the total input and output of LMZ refrigerant synergist incorrectly stored in the workshop basement is the highest (C (B1)=0.44), which has a priority level of pre-control. The research results provide data support and strategic reference for the development of accident prevention measures in confined space in chemical industry.
