Under the guidance of the requirements of the development and construction of high-level application-oriented universities with distinctive features, this study analyzes the problems in the teaching process of specialized courses for industrial engineering majors. This student team-centered application-oriented teaching mode, including case discussion and report in the form of group discussion without leaders and applied research training in the form of investigation had been proposed. With Human Resource Management (Bilingual), Quality Management and Reliability and other courses as the research pilots, the student team-centered application-oriented teaching mode has been practiced, which had provided reference for engineering quality-oriented education and application-oriented talent cultivation.
