This paper discusses the role of think tank services in the development of local new industries from several perspectives. Local governments should attach importance to think tank construction. Based on the abundant information resources and professionals of university library, this paper puts forward suggestions on how to build a think tank service platform and the advantages and countermeasures of our library in providing think tank service.
