Preparation and structural Characterization of Mn-doped BaTiO3 Ceramics with Hexagonal Phase |

Abstract Ba(Ti1-xMnx) O3 ceramics were prepared for x = 0.06, 0.07, 0.08 and 0.09 using a cold -pressing
ceramic technique. The crystal structure and microstructure of Ba (Ti1-xMnx) O3 ceramics were investigated
using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The XRD results showed that Ba(Ti1-x Mnx)O3
exhibited a hexagonal structure as x≥0.06, and Jahn-Teller distortion caused by the was a driving force for the
hexagonal phase.Columnar grain morphology observed was assigned to the hexagonal phase.
