The transformation and development of local colleges and universities is the driving force and guarantee of economic and social transformation and development. Taking Jilin University of chemical technology as an example, this paper analyzes the necessity of transformation and development, strengthens the top-level design of transformation and development by clarifying the working ideas and determining the development path, promotes the overall transformation by changing the concept and professional cluster pilot, improves the application-oriented personnel training system, improves the teaching conditions, deepens the integration of production and education, and strengthens the construction of guarantee measures.
