Abstract Concealment of Japanese personal pronouns refers to the distinctive linguistic feature that personal pronouns are omitted or substituted in the discourse. The concealment of Japanese personal pronouns results from the fuzziness of Japanese and the consistent viewpoint. Therefore, in the process of Japanese-Chinese translation, it is necessary to identify the relationship between internal and external relations, between upper and lower relations, and between the respected and the inferior so as to transfer the speaker’s viewpoint and complement the reference of the pronouns.
