Abstract In this paper, the problems in the teaching of specialized English for polymer materials majors was briefly analyzed. To solve these problems, reform measures such as improving students' interest, changing the content of courses, improving teaching methods and improving inspection standards were proposed. The aim is to enhance students' enthusiasm and initiative in learning specialized English for polymer materials, as well as improve their English proficiency.
