Abstract A hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform for coupled-tank control system based on Quanser data acquisition card and SIMULINK software are designed. First, its hardware structure and implement scheme of key technique are introduced in this paper. Then, controller realization and its parameter tuning process are illustrated by the example of PI controller. The experimental results show that the characteristic of controller can be verified well and the development cycle of control system can be shortened largely using the designed platform .
