Abstract
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS)/ Poly-methyl-methacrylate (PMMA) composites were investigated using ABS grafted maleic anhydride as compatibilizer. The effects of different ratio of compatibilizer on the impact strengthand tensile strengthcharacteristics of ABS/PMMA were discussed. Results showed that ABS grafted maleic anhydride compatibilized PMMA improved the mechanical properties of the blends, The tensile property of composites could be increased to the maximum of 55.1 MPa, when the content of compatibilizer was 8%; The adjunction of PMMA improved the performance of ABSMechanical Properties; It has been found that the blend produces the excellent combination of the Comprehensive mechanical properties with the ratio of ABS:PMMA=80:20.
