Abstract The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method was used in this study to test the defrosting effect of the air conditioner vents in a car of a certain brand. And the defrosting effect on the windscreen was simulated, build a model of the vents and the car, and the software was used to simulate the air flow in it, after which, the vectogram of the simulated defrosting effect and the air flow could be obtained. The dissertation analyzed the vectogram of the simulated defrosting effect and the air flow got from the simulation to learn the distribution of the velocity field, the flow distribution at the air outlets and the deicing performance. Against the shortcomings, the structure of the vents was optimized improve the original one.
