Abstract Based on the oil shale in Huadian mining in situ underground， under the condition of near critical
water to make oil shale pyrolysised， it is found that different extraction time influences the activation energy and
the extraction yield， and different extraction temperature affects extraction yield．The study of kinetics model of
oil shale pyrolysis in situ shows that the optimal conditions for the shale oil extraction are the near－critical water extraction temperature about 360 ℃ ， as well as the extraction time more than 40 h．
