Career education is an important means to help college students plan their careers and improve their employability. Local engineering colleges undertake the important task of promoting the development of local economy. By analyzing the real opportunities and challenges for employment in universities in Jilin province, this paper clarifies the pain points. It analyzes the role that career education should play in promoting employment in the province and proposes a student-centered approach to solidify career education in professional and scientific manner. Based on exploration and practice, it emphasizes the strengthening of the goals of career education. Utilizing the methodology of "Three Constructions and One Strengthening" service system of career education, this paper aims to promote the integration and mutual growth of career education and comprehensive education, thereby creating a favorable atmosphere for employment in the province.
