Abstract: The conception and function of course assessment in colleges and universities are defined at first.
Then the present situation and existing problems of current assessment mode are analyzed in detail, and the
reform scheme emphasizing process control and diversification of course assessment is proposed, based on
which,course assessment mode based on formative evaluation and information entropy theory is established.The
assessment mode is applied in the course assessment of “Bridge Engineering”in Tongji Zhejiang College,
whose result is compared with that of the traditional assessment mode and the result proves the rationality of the
new mode discussed in this paper.
