Aiming at the safety problem of nuclear physics teaching experiment，a virtual experiment of nuclear decay statistical law based on LabVIEW is designed．The virtual radioactive source and virtual Geiger Miller  counter that simulated by algorithm are used to measure the statistical law of nuclear decay．Gaussian fitting mcontrol is used to develop data processing module and improves the virtual experiment system． The virtual experiment simulates the actual instrument completely and the operation steps are consistent with the experimental instrument used in teaching． Therefore，the virtual experiment system not only cultivates and  exercises the ability of students’nuclear physics experiment effectively，but also breaks the limitation of radioactive source preservation and broadens the application of nuclear physics experiment teaching in various

disciplines．
